The past 24 hours in gossip, innuendo, and cold hard facts about the San Francisco food scene.

Jasmine Tea House is back to life under new ownership. Bernalwood discovers, via a reader, the Chinese restaurant reopened about a week ago, and is striving to make the dishes just like past customers remember them (3253 Mission at Valencia).

After 49 years, La Barca will cease service on March 31, according to Inside Scoop. The Mexican restaurant in the Marina was sold to new owners back in November, and future plans for the space remain unknown, for now.

Shuttered Namu's sister restaurant, Namu Gaji, is now slated to open in early March. According to Grub Street's interview with the chef-owner, it "will be better looking," too.

Let your New York friends know they'll now be able to eat at the restaurant-inside-a-restaurant you've been raving about. Inside Scoop delivers the news that Danny Bowien is moving to the East Coast to open the second Mission Chinese Food in NYC. Jesse Koide will oversee the daily operations at our location.

Oh, and just a reminder from earlier, Eos is readying to close at the end of the month.
