The past 24 hours in gossip, innuendo, and cold hard facts about the San Francisco food scene.

While it won't be the City's first mobile pizzeria (that would be Casey's Pizza), it will be the first one specializing in Neapolitan-style pizzas. Tablehopper reports Del Popolo from Jon Darsky (formerly of Flour + Water) will be roaming the streets with its brick oven as early as next month.

From sporks to chopsticks: While Spork was forced to shutter after its lease ended in December, Inside Scoop discovers that (former) partner Neil Jorgensen is operating a temporary restaurant out of the space, Rice Broker. The building is still slated to be demolished, but the Asian restaurant will be serving dinner from now (it opened last night), until they're forced to vacate, which could be anywhere from a few months to a year (1058 Valencia at Hill).

Good manners reign at Ryan Scott's pending West Portal restaurant. Eater SF shares that the name of his casual, American-fare cafe will be Please & Thank You, and while this location is slated to open mid February, he's planning on opening other outposts of this restaurant around the city. No word yet on where or when.

Frozen yogurt is moving into Noe Valley's former Cosmic Wizard shop. Grub Street divulges the new sugary shop's moniker is, fittingly, Sweet Spot (4028B 24th St. at Noe).

Over in the Sunset, Eater SF notices a new coffee shop. Drip Coffee Bar (1916 Irving at 20th Ave.) is pouring Sightglass coffee and serving nibbles from Sweet Thing.

Gone Fishin': Eater SF reports that Chinatown's Hotaru Japanese Restaurant has shuttered. After the owners return from a long vacation, they may reappear on the S.F. Restaurant scene, but likely in a different neighborhood.

Earlier we mentioned, via Eater SF, that Estela's Fresh Sandwiches was opening a new shop while the owners wait for their old place to be rebuilt after a fire displaced them. Now, Tablehopper shares the news that the new spot is at last open (891 Bush at Taylor).
