Burma Superstar's New Location and The Ice Cream Bar Readies to Open

With an hour-and-half average wait time (on a Tuesday!) at the original Burma Superstar on Clement, we can't say we're surprised the owners are looking to open their fourth (second in the City) location. This one will be on Valencia (at Duboce). Inside Scoop reports the owners have filed a liquor license for the space that used to house Bodhi. No word yet on when we can expect the line to start forming at the Mission location.

Below the rambunctious single-digit aged crowd at the California Academy of Sciences cafeteria, the Moss Room is back open -- but as of now, just for lunch. Inside Scoop reports the restaurant has reopened under the direction of Charles Phan and has debuted a new menu that leans towards Asian Fusion dishes.

We imagine everyone in Cole Valley has their eyes fixed on the Ice Cream Bar -- it's hard to wait for sweets like homemade ice cream, syrups, and 1930's-styled milkshakes (those would be sans ice cream). But the city won't have to wait much longer; Eater SF shares that the shop is readying to open Jan. 21, and the owners have brought Russell Davis (of Rickhouse) on as a consultant to their soda fountain program.

Slight changes you may have missed: Tablehopper let readers know COI has hired a new sommerlier, Roland Micu of Napa's La Toque. Also, Eater SF discovers that near the turn of the year Bushi-Tea Bistro was sold to owners of Mifune, and it's new moniker is Mifune Bistro. The menu has remained relatively unchanged.
