The rundown: Jewish people and lovers of delicious Jewish food unite, for it's an unique pop-up dinner to celebrate Hanukkah! Organizer/Chef Kenny Hockert of Old World Food Truck writes, "Hanukkah is a holiday full of tradition, and foods to symbolize those traditions. Fried foods such as latkes and sufganiyot, Hanukkah doughnuts, are made to commemorate the oil that burned in the old temple for eight days." We can get behind any holiday that celebrates frying.
In addition, they'll serve latkes, house made corned beef with rye bread pudding and braised sauerkraut, and, of course, matzah ball soup. The meal will conclude with menorah lighting, music, dreidels, and more. They emphasize that the event is non-religious and inclusive of all (including vegetarians and vegans, just ask!) so everyone get down on this. As far as booze, it's BYOB (no corkage fee) so guests are encouraged to bring their Manishevitz, He'Brew, or whatever they'd like to celebrate Hanukkah with, they'll provide the glasses. Mazel Tov!
