The rundown: Join Natalie Galatzer, HBiC of Bike Basket Pies/Brilliant Recipe-Creator of Deliciousness, at the launch party for her self-published recipe booklet, Bike Basket Pies: How to Make Handheld Pies for Bicycle Delivery. It's Bring Your Own Pie, so you better get on that yesterday. Or, you know, there's always Safeway. There will also be buckets (buckets!) of free champagne and sparkling cider to help you forget exactly how much pie you ate.
As for the cookbooklet, we were lucky enough to see an advanced copy and it's possibly the greatest thing ever. Those of us who fondly remember Galatzer's amazing pies will be able to recreate the magic, following her easy directions and the completely wonderful and hilarious illustrations by Minty Lewis. You had no idea fruit could be so adorable. And sassy! We're calling it, this is the gift for the 2011 holiday season, and you need at least 15 copies. Pie party!
