Sandra Lee in Cher Drag, New Developments in Ramen: This Week in Food Bloggery

 ​Highlights from the blogs:

1. Michael Leaverton begins his new series of TV reviews with a flash of smoke and a cackle: It's the Sandra Lee Halloween special! Sandra Lee as Cher, Sandra Lee as Mad Hatter, Sandra Lee knocking back the cocktails.

2. Noodlespotter Luis Chong traveled to San Mateo to visit Ramen Parlor, the third ramen shop owned by the Bay Area's cult ramen chef, Santa Ramen's Kazunori Kobayashi. This one specializes in mixed broths topped with a layer of lobster oil (!). 

3. Friend of the occupation but not an occupier yourself? Laura Beck polls members of the occupation movement to find out what foods -- and other dining supplies -- they could use.

4. Thomas Keller's test department developed Cup4Cup, a gluten-free flour to substitute in recipes, and Chef Keller visited Martha Stewart this week to pimp it. Our Marla Simon had been testing Cup4Cup over the past few weeks, and had a few things to say about it.

5. Because SFoodie belongs to the 99 percent, too.
