Michael Chiarello Eyes S.F., Burger Urge's Odd Tagline, and Visiting Four Corners

Categories: Buzz Machine

The past 24 hours in gossip, innuendo, and cold hard facts about the San Francisco food scene.

Odd names and taglines: Tablehopper discovers, via Chowhound, that Indo-Bali Cooking Street has opened in the Financial District (343 Kearny at Pine). The Indonesian restaurant is from the former Bangkok Best owners, but with a new chef. Also, Burger Urge is officially flipping patties starting tomorrow (1599 Haight at Clayton). While there's been a recent influx of burger places in the City, Burger Urge may win for the most unique tagline: "Prepare to be filled!"

Unwind on Union reopens today as Four Corners (1875 Union at Laguna). Eater SF confirms the new name is in reference to that Four Corners, and much of the cuisine will reflect the Southwest influences surrounding the states' meeting points as well.

You can now roll into Fourth Wave Coffee (1356 Polk at Pine). Tablehopper reports that the shop opened last week and is serving brewed coffee alongside standard two-shot espresso drinks and personal drip.

Celebrity chef Michael Chiarello is looking to expand his culinary reaches with a second restaurant, and his sights are set on the City. SFGate reports that the Napa County chef is looking for a 100-seat space downtown or on the waterfront. No word yet on the concept or cuisine.
