What: How To Start A Wine Collection

Where: Dig

When: Thurs., November 17, 5:30-7:30 pm.

Cost: Free

The rundown: If you purchase wines based solely on what's $2-- or worse, on which label features the cutest animal -- Dog Patch's Dig wine shop has just the event for you. Special guest Dennis Foley, a wine professional with 40-years experience, will teach you how to start and grow a wine collection. Many view this as an overwhelming topic, but Dig promises, "few things can bring the satisfaction of building even a modest wine cellar, purchasing bottles on release, and tasting them as they mature over time."

This class is geared at teaching everyone the ins and outs of wine collecting. From the fancier Bordeaux, Burgundy, Brunello, and Barolo to selections for the other 99%, this talk will feature boozy deliciousness for the masses. Plus, you can't beat free pours coupled with the knowledge that you're becoming more cultured than your peers. Cheers!
