SFMOMA + Blue Bottle present Wedding Banquet
Where: Rooftop Garden, SFMOMA, 151 Third St.
When: Thurs., Nov. 17th, 6 p.m.-8 p.m.
Cost: Museum entry $9, after 6 p.m., cake and cocktails not included in museum admission
The rundown: The Blue Bottle Rooftop Café will be the site for an artistic wedding banquet without the hassle of a wedding--just the cake and cocktails, music, and a lot of art. Four wedding cakes will get custom cake toppers by local artists, with musical performance at 7 p.m. The event is free, but a ticket at the café gets you cake and cocktail.
Mystery Mansion
Where: Westerfeld House, 1198 Fulton (at Scott)
When: Thurs., Nov. 17th, 6 p.m.-10 p.m.
Cost: $40 online; 21 and over
The rundown: The historic Westerfeld house in Alamo Square is the stage for the 15 Romolo crew who are taking over to create a Victorian themed evening filled with drinks featuring Frenet Branca and Carpano Antica Sweet Vermouth.
Mix It Up! Blending In Three Acts
Where: Sutton Cellars, 601 22nd (at Illinois)
When: Sat., Nov. 19th, 2 p.m.-5 p.m.
Cost: $40 online; 21 and over
The rundown: An event where you get the chance to blend your own cocktail-inspired scents using ingredients like wormwood (found in absinthe) and juniper (defining gin), to help you smell boozy or boozier. Look for the vermouth bar manned by Carl Sutton featuring his brown-label and a special blend of his wines.
Holiday-Inspired Cocktail Class at Spoonbar
Where: Spoonbar at the H2hotel, 219 Healdsburg Ave, Healdsburg CA
When: Sun., Nov. 20, 2 p.m.-4 p.m.
Cost: $50 online; 21 and over
The rundown: Author and bartender Scott Beattie will get you ready for the holidays with a hands-on cocktail class. Learn to make seasonal specialties like Hot Buttered Rum, Punches, and specialty cocktails using Beattie's signature use of seasonal and foraged ingredients. Wear your worst holiday sweater for a chance to win dinner for two at Spoonbar. Class includes all produce, spirits, materials, and snacks (provided by Chef Rudy Mihal of Spoonbar).
Jug Sundays at Sutton Cellars
Where: Sutton Cellars, 601 22nd (at Illinois)

The rundown: Carl Sutton continues his wine-tasting events this Sunday with Vietnamese sliders food truck Mama Cass (relax, there are no ham sandwiches) selling bites to go with your wine. A red blend of wine will be available for purchase, but also a new hard cider. Made from 100% organically grown Sonoma County apples and wild fermented, the fruity and refreshing cider clocks in at a nice 5% abv, perfect for Thanksgiving.
