The rundown: Village Voice's Lauren Shockey, she of the Really Great Name, will be in town to talk about her new book, Four Kitchens: My Life Behind the Burner in New York, Hanoi, Tel Aviv and Paris. Damn, she's worked in hella kitchens! She'll be reading from the book and then doing a question and answer session. Then, if we're to believe her website, "there will be some post-reading drinking involved." Sounds pretty all right to us!
