Two very worldly sisters are channeling Krakow, Vienna, Paris, Brooklyn, and our own Northern California into Two Sisters Bar & Books. Grub Street reports, via Urban Daddy, the bar will open this Friday featuring cocktails such as the Iggy, Headless Horeseman, and Shandygaff, alongside beer, wine, and a few American dishes to nosh at night. During the day they'll offer brunch and coffee. And while there are no books to buy, there is something called a Books and Booze Club (579 Hayes at Laguna).
Pudong's more appetizing-named replacement Gingerfruit looks like it may be a goner. Eater SF reports that the sign taped to the window reports the restaurant is closed until further notice; time will tell if they're able to come back from the brink.
A place to buy a designer shirt and an Its-It: 7x7 covered a new clothing store, ACRE/SF, that is selling wares alongside blue bottle coffee, pastries, and sweet treats. A clever concept for the North Beach store that sits in the former location of the bygone 100-year-old New Union Grocery (301 Union at Montgomery).
