When: Thursday, Oct. 6; 7 to 9:15 p.m.

The rundown: Soul Cocina is back from Chicago for a one night only engagement at La Victoria. Roger Feely, one of the fathers of the San Francisco street food movement (yes, that's a term and it's a thing), will cook up a meal that's naturally vegan, with meaty add-ons for extra dough. The four-course menu includes sweet potato tortellini with succotash in a smoked corn broth, pumpkin huarache, and coconut tapioca. Sounds amazing, Feely needs to move back to San Francisco immediately. What the hell does Chicago have that we don't? Besides the Hot Dougs and the Perfect Strangers house? Okay, we see his point.
Reserve at Eventbrite.
