The past 24 hours in gossip, innuendo, and cold hard facts about the San Francisco food scene.

Dropping the bao: The food truck formerly known as the Chariman Bao, has altered their moniker to the Chairman. According to the statement they sent us, chef Hiroo Nagahara says, "We decided to change our name as the truck shifts in direction to include more than just bao." That's funny, we thought they changed the name due to a trademark infringement lawsuit.

The former Trader Vic's space is getting a new life as a French-American bistro. Inside Scoop reveals Maestro, from the owners of Burlingame's La Boheme, should open in December.

The latest Southern joint slated to open in the City is Hops & Hominy. Eater SF states the Union Square restaurant should be open by January and the menu will feature both friend chicken and a raw bar. Interesting.

The new name is already more hip than the Dining Room at the Ritz Carlton. Parallel 37 will be the new name of the restaurant from Ron Siegel. With the news from Inside Scoop, comes the equally as modern logo.

Louisiana Fried Chicken apparently kicked Taco's Sandwiches out of their Sixth St. location, according to LiveSOMA. Hopefully Taco can find a new location for the sandwich shop.
