The past 24 hours in gossip, innuendo, and cold hard facts about the San Francisco food scene.

Back from the brink: While it looked as though La Oaxaqueña's brick-and-mortar was a goner, Eater SF shares it's readying for a comeback. Closed since August, the Mexican restaurant says it'll be back soon, and with a new menu. (We're guessing they won't try to reinstate grasshopper tacos.)

Earlier we mentioned Gordon Ramsay was on his way to Fremont to film an episode of Kitchen Nightmares. Now Grub Street reports he's expanding his yelling-tirades to include those in the hotel and motel business. The new show, Hotel Hell, is currently casting in state. Oh joy.

The partners behind both Tataki Sushi and Tataki South are set to open their third sushi restaurant in the shuttered Sel et Vin space (678 Chenery at Diamond). Tablehopper shares, via the Glen Park Association newsletter, the restaurant name and menu is in progress, but they plan to serve rolls and sashimi by December.

Just in time for techie descent on the Moscone Center for the Oracle convention, the W Hotel (sitting catty-corner from the site) is reopening their lobby bar and library bar. Grub Street reports they should both be open by Friday.
