Steak and pie: The kitschy Palace Family Steak House (3047 Mission at Capp) we mentioned earlier, the one that has its own theme song, is set to open next week, according to Bernalwood. Meanwhile, Blackboard Eats shares that the opening date for Chile Pies Sweet & Savory is set for Aug 19. From Green Chile Kitchen and Chile Pies and Ice Cream owner Trevor Logan, Tablehopper assured us earlier this year that this Castro location (314 Church at 15th St.) will carry the same favorites, including the pie milkshake.
Food truck report: Raider fans will be seeing new additions to their tailgate parties. What the Fork shares that (up to) 10 food trucks will offer food for the football fans at all Sunday home games for the duration of this NFL season. Are you ready for some foot -- meatballs?
Also, a new Chipotle is opening today, just in time for the start of school. While they're working away at the one in Fisherman's Wharf, SF State students will find the burrito chain's new outpost at 1523 Sloat (at Everglade), in the Lakeshore Plaza.
