Last week we mentioned two pizza places eyeing S.F., the opening of Pachino, and the shutdown of PizzaHacker. Just in case that wasn't enough pizza news, Fisherman's Wharf is getting ready to welcome a new pizzeria. Eater SF shares that Ayadi Pizza (377 Bay at Mason) will focus on organics and plans to mark its Aug. 27 opening with a belly dancer. Interesting.
While What the Fork visits B-Dama, the new izakaya on Oakland's Piedmont Avenue, Inside Scoop gives an update on the izakaya slated for the "cursed" 598 Guerrero space across from Tartine Bakery. First time restaurateur Yuko Hayashi will open the traditional-leaning Izakaya Yuzuki this October, where she plans to serve working stiffs some day's-end comfort alongside housemade tofu.
New face, old place: Yesterday we passed the Inner Richmond's Le Soleil, only to find out it's been shut since July 18 and will be closed for remodeling until September. Noe Valley SF shares that Kama Sushi (1497 Church at 27th St.), in the former Amberjack Sushi space, looks like it will open soon, the awnings are ready, and the website and liquor license are pending.
