Fight! Bloody Mary Contest Comes to Scala's Bistro

If the words "Sunday morning" make you think of a hangover, then you'll be as excited as we are about the bloody Mary contest at Scala's Bistro, where eight S.F. bartenders will battle it out for the title of Best Bloody Mary.

The event will celebrate the launch of Scala's new brunch menu, which will include the tasty-looking "Biestwich" -- pork belly, avocado, vegetable aoili, and greens on ciabatta ($12). Hit the jump for the rest of the details.

The contest will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on August 28. Tickets are $10 in advance and $20 at the door, which includes a taste of all eight drinks and samples from the new brunch menu. Proceeds will benefit the Center for Urban Education about Sustainable Agriculture. And in case you aren't convinced yet, here are the competing bartenders:
