Lucky Hayes Valley residents -- you are the first folks to get Off the Grid food trucks six days a week.

Starting this week, two trucks will park on Linden Street, home of Smitten Ice Cream and Blue Bottle Coffee, for both lunch (11 a.m.-2:30 p.m.) and dinner (5-9:30 p.m.) on every day but Monday.

Off the Grid founder Matthew Cohen says trucks (or stands, in some cases) might not cover every shift this week, but the new location will be full-time starting next week. "The trucks will rotate so we can give people some variety," he says.

Linden Street is also due to see some other restaurants like Smitten working out of prefab containers, and could be the next hotspot for new city food trends. Like we said, Hayes Valley people, lucky you!
