Foodia Is Olive Oil

Where: Press Club Wine Bar and Lounge, 20 Yerba Buena (at Market), 744-5000

When: Today, 5-8 p.m.

Cost: Free

The rundown: Foodia is not about to let you forget it. In case the recent Foodia Is Chocolate tasting event has already faded from memory like it's the day after Easter, the new media start-up is back, and this time olive oil is the hook. Positioning itself as "Yelp for the kitchen," Foodia encourages users to rate kitchen ingredients like tea, pesto, and chocolate. Tonight's event rounds up six small-batch California olive oils, throws them in a room with a bunch of local bread (Josey Baker, Sour Flour, etc.), and lets you go on a full-fledged dipping spree. There will even be some olive oil sorbet from Scream Sorbet for dessert. All that's asked is your feedback!
