The rundown: Experience the "Mendo vibe" at the first-ever showcase of all the best things in Mendocino County. Previously a trade-only event for Mendocino's wine producers, they joined forces with Mendocino's Office of Tourism to assemble a massive cast of merchants for the public. Find visitor information on tours, lodging, and many fun activities like kayaking. If you're into kayaking. If you're not, there's plenty to entertain you. And by plenty to entertain you, we mean lots of food and booze. The event will feature more than 60 wineries, microbreweries (including organic beer), a world-famous brandy, farmers and artisan producers of fruit preserves, olive oil, cheeses, and grass-fed beef and lamb. As if all that weren't enough, you might be in a food coma after sampling all the dishes from Mendocino restaurants. Delightful. Because of the event's highly delicious and alcoholic nature, nobody under 21 is allowed.
