Where: Japantown's Peace Plaza

When: Sat., June 11, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

Cost: Free

The rundown: Tofu takes over S.F.'s Japantown at the first annual Soy and Tofu Festival tomorrow. Not many food products have the versatility and nutritional value of tofu, a staple in many Asian cuisines. Sample many varieties of delicious dishes like mapo tofu, yuba, salads, tofu sushi, natto and more. Plus many food vendors like Traveling Takoyaki, SFoodie's favorite Hodo Soy Beanery and popular lunch crowd food truck JapaCurry. They'll be live music and performances of hula, ukulele, rapping (for real), Okinawa sanshin, and S.F. Taiko Dojo Rising Stars. Dope. Don't miss the raffle and a tofu dessert competition with a $100 grand prize, proceeds to benefit the Nichi Bei Foundation.
