Vegan Hacker: Corn Dogs

Where: Noisebridge, 2169 Mission (at 18th St.)

When: Tuesday, May 31, 7 p.m.

Cost: Free, but you might want to bring some veggie dogs and your favorite corn dog condiments.

The rundown: Vegan nerds, unite! Vegan Hacker continues their series of taking foods previously thought unveganizable and turning out creations that rival -- and sometime surpass -- the real deal. Previous hacks include pierogi, Snickers, Guinness Cake, and Oeufs a la neige. Yes, Oeufs a la neige. These vegans are getting fancy on your ass! Tonight they tackle corn dogs to find the superior veggie dog to corn, and whether a baked or fried batter is best. We already have that answer on lock: FRIED DUH. The event is open to all, not just the animal-ingredients-averse, so come get your protein without the pig anus! Dorking out on magical food science has never been so delicious. Or so FREE.
