The past 24 hours in gossip, innuendo, and cold hard facts about the San Francisco food scene.

Grub Street reports Roostertail Rotisserie's liquor license was approved, and hypothesizes the opening date of the Lower Pac Heights restaurant to be right around the corner.

Also from Grub Street, they're calling it "dunzo" for Spire. But as we reported back in March, Spire seems to have turned into 3rd Degree Lounge (685 Third St. at Townsend).

From Inside Scoop, Piccino closed its Dogpatch location this weekend for its move down the block (1001 Minnesota at 22nd St.). It'll reopen May 11 with an expanded menu from chef Rachel Silcocks.

Scoop also reports Ponzu's impending closure; after 11 years, it plans to fold at the end of the month. By July the space is expected to morph into Jasper's Corner Tap, where current Ponzu chef Adam Carpenter will serve up gastropub fare.

The short closure of Decantr lingers on. Eater SF learns from chef Josh Skenes that Decantr will be back ― he just doesn't know when, or as what.
