Off the Grid Expands in Civic Center, U.N. Plaza

Starting May 9, Off the Grid Civic Center makes two weekly appearances.

​Like oil companies and pot clubs, the food-truck biz is thriving. With a steady influx of new vendors and the growing appetite for food handed out through Plexi flaps, it was inevitable that Off the Grid would expand. The latest: Starting next week, both OtG Civic Center and OTG U.N. Plaza expand from once a week to twice. As for Civic Center, organizer Matt Cohen tells SFoodie that, in addition to the regular Friday event, he's adding Mondays (five trucks, just like Fridays), starting May 9, beginning at 11:30 a.m. Next day on May 10, U.N. Plaza is adding Tuesdays ― it currently rolls out on Thursdays, 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
