The rundown: The Crescent hotel and the Burritt Room -- this year's Best Of SF for "Best Reason to Stay in a Hotel" -- are celebrating their first year with a par-tay this weekend. Plans include punch and cake, with free and flowing bowls of Bols Genever (a malty, Dutch-style gin) punch for the first two hours plus plenty of birthday cake and live music all night. Groove to the sweet sounds of DJ Cindy G, the Wrong Words, and The Parties. Delightful.
With Burritt Room's bar manager Kevin Diedrich being chosen for the 2011 Chronicle's Bar Stars and our own prestigious award, they have plenty to celebrate.
