TomKat Asian Street-Food Preview at Sutton Cellars' Jug Sundays

The rundown: This weekend, Sutton Cellars continues Jug Sundays, the wine equivalent of a kegger (no barrel stands, please). Dogpatch vintner Carl Sutton taps a full barrel of wine for tasting on site and purchase by the jug or bottle ($13.50-$15/liter). The house style is for high-acid, lower-alcohol wines from Sonoma grapes, perfect for pairing with tasty eats. And speaking of eats, this time around Sutton is pairing up with new food-truck vendor TomKat, from Thomas Thong (the Slanted Door, Heaven's Dog) and Danny Louie, who bartends at Alembic. The pair will offer a limited sneak-peek menu of their Asian street food, TomKat's first public appearance. Food is cash only.

Also, Sutton has introduced a few improvements by adding a second tasting bar for sampling the day's barrel wine along with his full range of bottled wines and vermouth. There's also a new system for accepting credit card payments.
