Metreon Remodel Shrinks, Isolates Food Court
If you haven't visited Westfield's Metreon recently, you probably don't know that dining options there have decreased significantly. As part of the scheduled renovations, last week the food court was isolated with partition walls from the Metreon's AMC theater section. Only Sanraku and Jillian's remain open, via exterior access from either Yerba Buena Gardens or Fourth Street.

SFoodie has learned that first-floor renovations should be completed by November 2011. No specifics on when the venue's dozen new restaurants will move into the new food court. Work on upper floors will continue until next year.
Another unexpected drawback for movie patrons is no easy access to restrooms, except inside the theater area. A tip: Seek out the small bathroom on the fourth floor. You're welcome.
