Don't panic, San Francisco: Yet another cupcake emporium is now open. The second location of Cako Bakery originally opened in Japantown in late February, underwent a little renovation in March, and is now reliably dispensing cuteness, if not kickass flavor. Cako seems unusually skewed towards chocolate at the moment; it's the base for most of the varieties we tried recently, including caramel, cookies and cream, and s'mores. The best bet? Mini-cupcakes for $1.50.

Cako Bakery: 1737 Post Street (at Webster), 567-5130.
