Grub Street notes the reopening of the newly christened Tres. Founding partners Eric Rubin and Barry Augus may have moved on to work on their tequila brand, Tres Agaves (hence the name change), but the bar-restaurant is expanding the number of tequilas on its back bar.
The Chron/Inside Scoop has noted the passing of three Bay Area legends: Henry Africa (inventor of the fern bar and proprietor of Eddie Rickenbacker's), Juanita Musson (a North Bay character SFoodie is now sad we never met), and Tommy Bermejo (founder of Tommy's Mexican in the Richmond).
