The past 24 hours in gossip, innuendo, and cold hard facts about the San Francisco restaurant scene.

7x7's Bits and Bites blog is giddy at the chance to scoop the rest of us in reporting that the project Town Hall's owners are opening at 740 Valencia will be a wine bar. Even more timely, it will be dispensing varietals and blends from 38 tanks. The food: simple tavern fare. Name? Opening date? Don't press us for such petty details.

Eater SF, scouring the permit applications, reports that Little Bangkok in the Inner Sunset will likely be replaced by a restaurant named Manna (845 Irving). The pitch: from the name and owner's name, one hopes Korean food of some sort.

From Live SoMa comes a report that when Elite Audio Systems moves its showroom from Dogpatch to Folsom between Fourth and Fifth, it will add a drop-in coffee bar. No word on what beans they'll be brewing; perhaps they'll be able to froth the milk just by setting it on a subwoofer.
