Project Open Hand
Doughnut Launch Party and Naming Contest

Where: Dynamo Donut and Coffee, 2760 24th St. (at York), 920-1978

When: Fri., Mar. 18, 4-6 p.m.

Cost: Free (while supplies last)

The rundown: It isn't enough that nonprofit Project Open Hand should provide meals and groceries to the sick and the homebound, now they're making peanut butter ― peanut butter so good that Dynamo Donut's Sara Spearin is incorporating it in a new doughnut with banana honey glaze. To celebrate the launch ― and to come up with a name for the thing ― Open Hand and Dynamo are hosting a mixer this Friday with free doughnuts and glasses of Stiegl Goldbräu lager ― you know, to get the creative juices flowing. Come up with the winning name, and you'll walk with a certificate for a dozen doughnuts and a Project Open Hand apron. To catch the crumbs.
