Peko-Peko Donating Pop-Up General Store Profits to Japan Quake Relief
Another local food business raising money for Japan disaster relief: Peko-Peko Japanese Catering, at Wednesday's Pop-Up General Store in Oakland. From Peko-Peko's Sylan Mishima Brackett:

Although we were planning only to sell Japanese beef curry, the Peko Peko cooks and I have decided cook a few other things to raise money for earthquake relief. The income from our sales will be donated to a relief fund set up by the Fukushima Prefectural government.Besides the beef curry ($12.50), Brackett's selling kombu tsukudani (pickled seaweed, $5), pork okazu (with miso from quake-stricken Sendai, $5), and ume and grapefruit zeri (jelly, $5). It's too late to preorder, but General Store organizers say there should be enough food for walk-ins to score.
