Sabrina Modelle says she was face down on the acupuncture table last week when she heard about the devastating Japanese quake. Modelle's currently on leave from her job at a nonprofit. "I think I was going through do-good withdrawal," she says. And since Modelle is also a food blogger, she decided to do what food bloggers do best: rally support among other food bloggers.

Her blog, The Tomato Tart, lists a growing roster of about 35 bloggers from around the world who've pledged to take part in Modelle's Online Bake Sale for Japan. On Wed., Mar. 30, bidding will go live for one day. You'll have a chance to bid on baked goods and other sweets the participating bloggers are pledging. Log the winning bid, and you'll receive a shipment from your blogger. Get it? Simple. And all the proceeds go to Second Harvest Japan.

Check out The Tomato Tart for an auction list. A few participants: Nomnivorous, Eat the Love, Nosh This, Lick My Spoon, and on and on. Oh, and if you're a blogger who wants to donate something, contact Modelle at bakesale@thetomatotart.com. Be generous and bid heavy.
