Oh Yes, It's Nojo. And a Sustainable Seafood Market for the Wharf? Hell Yes!

Today in gossip, innuendo, and cold hard facts about the San Francisco restaurant scene.

We'll let Inside Scoop call it: Nojo is now open at 231 Franklin St. (at Hayes) ― it's a mod, stylish-looking Hayes Valley izakaya place by longtime Ame presence Gregory Dunmore. And Bun Mee, a casual Viet fusion place at 2015 Fillmore (at California) is already doing its fusion thing, despite an official opening date of April 1.

The Feast catches a whiff of plans coalescing around the Fisherman's Wharf Seafood Market on Pier 45, a source of sustainable seafood likely to begin as an online wholesale business, then, perhaps, evolve into a walk-up public market.

Inside Scoop keeps an eye on the chef change at fancy, fusiony Bushi-Tei, where Seiji "Waka" Wakabayashi is out, replaced by Jardiniere vet Michael Hung.

More involving Jardiniere veterans: Scoop notes that planned Locanda bar manager Brian MacGregor won't be gripping the cocktail shakers after all at the Delfina sibling when it opens in coming weeks. No word on why.

And Noe Valley SF works up a thirst over a rumored craft beer bar for the neighborhood, then sees it dissolve like an hour-old head of foam on a Pilsner. Bummer, dude.
