Burger porn: SFoodie doesn't always know what dude-food newsletter Thrillist is talking about, but this morning's message is clear as, um ― clarified butter. Maverick's Scott Youkilis started spreading the word last week about a butter burger stunt the restaurant was launching Mar. 15 to mark its fifth anniversary. It's called 17 on 17th: On Tuesday nights, new chef de cuisine Matt Brimer (we liked his food at Bin 38) is making 17 ― and only 17! ― butter burgers per Tuesday. That's beef ground with chunks of cold butter, pattied and cooked sous vide with more butter, then browned in butter. Word of the butter burgers has been bubbling up through local food media, but Thrillist files a nice bit of video detailing Brimer's method.

Cart watch: Inside Scoop gets word that the brick-and-mortar gig ex-street chef Jon Kosorek has taken is at Brannan's Grill in Calistoga. And Kosorek's Jon's Street Eats quilted-metal food cart? He's sold it to John Betteo of Pasta Moon in Half Moon Bay. Betteo should be out on the street next month (which street: not clear), offering some Kosorek classics.

Setting 'em up: Sfist logs evidence of the Bourbon and Branch expansion into the old 441 Club at 441 Jones (at Ellis) in the Tenderloin. To wit, a photo of the sign for Mister Lew's Win-Win Bar and Grand Sazerac Emporium, proving there's no limit to the number of characters you can file on a new business application. Somehow, that's comforting.
