The rundown: It's difficult to put your finger on what's going on over at Frankenart Mart in the Inner Richmond. For five years now, this almost-a-gallery-but-not-quite has been doling out free hot dogs with a side of abstraction. Sunday's event won't be that different than the typical monthly free-for-all, with the addition of a dancing, prancing plush hot dog and a 4 p.m. hava negila. The Mart also operates on rotating themes, and right now it's Library. This means they're lending out a mishmash of things, including human beings: "Check out a baby, a graphic designer, a farmer: who knows?" reads the website. So head out to the Inner Richmond for free beef or veggie dogs, and ponder the strange and beautiful city that has kept an ethereal hot dog gallery open for five years.
