The past 24 hours in gossip, innuendo, and cold hard facts about the San Francisco restaurant scene.

Eater SF and SFist bring good news and bad news: Zeitgeist is finally replacing the Porta-Potties in the beer garden with actual bathrooms. The bad news: The bar is closing until Feb. 14 in order to complete the work. Trust us, you'll make it until then.

According to Grub Street, Monroe (473 Broadway), the North Beach bar-lounge opening in the DragonBar space, will be open around Valentine's Day as well. The pitch: drinks from a New York bartender, tapas and pizza, and live music.

Inside Scoop reports that the owners of the Stinking Rose have bought Paradise Bay in Sausalito and will turn it into Salito's (1200 Bridgeway, Sausalito) sometime in the late spring or early summer. The pitch: crab and steaks, steaks and crab.

Scoop also mentions that Marlowe's Anna Weinberg and Jennifer Puccio have a name for their new restaurant, in the old Joey and Eddie's: Park Tavern (1652 Stockton). Target date: late spring to early summer.
