Cupid's Arrow, a Blood-Orange Margarita at Puccini and Pinetti

The Cupid's Arrow cocktail at Puccini and Pinetti is a nice choice for this lovers' weekend, if only for drowning a lonelyheart's sorrows. It's essentially a margarita, made with Partida tequila, muddled blood orange, lime juice, and simple syrup, with a float of Grand Marnier. At first we hoped the stuff on the rim was sugar, but after the first sip it was clear what nice balance a bit of sodium added to the mix.

Puccini and Pinetti: 129 Ellis (at Powell), 392-5500.
