Localicious Truck Spotted in Emeryville, Southie Opens in Oakland

Categories: Buzz Machine
The past 24 hours in gossip, innuendo, and cold hard facts about the San Francisco restaurant scene.

Oakland North tracks down a new food truck named Localicious (eatlocalicious.com), owned by a longtime Square One vet, which parks in Emeryville three days a week. The pitch: For those of you who don't remember Square One, it serves seasonal, culturally inclusive California cuisine. Also, we think the Localicious truck and the Tacolicious stand should set up shop outside Locavore and complete the loop.

According to Inside Scoop, Southie (6311 College, Oakland), the Wood Tavern owners' sandwich shop, opens today.

Scoop also reports that Pascal Rigo's La Boulange chain will be opening up one location in Burlingame and a second in Union Square ― at 222 Sutter.

Grub Street spots a liquor license application that shows Maharani restaurant (1122 Post) is slated to become something called Bitters Bock and Rye.

Two small notes for your data fiile: Eater SF says Bar Agricole is adding Sunday brunch, while Grub Street says the Burritt Room just added a short food menu, including paprika-dusted French fries and a 4505 Meats hot dog.
