November's Feast of Words.
This month's installment of Feast of Words: A Literary Potluck features the guest cheffery of Peter Jackson, proprietor of Canvas Underground and "member of the Ghetto Gourmet guerilla dining network," and guest storytelling by Faith Adiele, author of Coming of Age: A Multicultural Anthology and Meeting Faith: The Forest Journals of a Black Buddhist Nun. She will, appropriately enough, riff on this month's theme of "blurred identities"; we hope the chef does, too. Aspiring scribes should come prepared to also do so for a quick-write competition. Recent attention from SFGate might prompt the cautious to purchase tickets in advance, though they'll most likely be available at the door.

Feast of Words: A Storytelling Potluck
When: Tue., Jan. 4, 7-9 p.m.
Where: SOMArts, 934 Brannan (at Eighth St.), 863-1414
Cost: $10 advance, $12 at door, or $5 with potluck item
