Blue Bottle's Aborted Dolores Park Cart? It's Headed to Off the Grid
Blue Bottle's coffee trailer may have been run out of Dolores Park before it had a chance to make its first drip, but that doesn't mean it's ended up on the scrap pile. Blue Bottle plans to roll out the trailer at Off the Grid: McCoppin Hub, part of OTG McCoppin's beefed-up brunch plans. Blue Bottle outdoors manager Mike Hamm tells SFoodie the cart could appear as soon as Jan. 22, if a technical glitch can be repaired by then (a boiler's being converted from natural gas to propane, and it's proved glitchy). Most likely, says Hamm, the trailer won't be ready till Jan. 29. The trailer has an Astoria lever espresso machine and Japanese-made single-hole Bon Mac drippers, and will sell pastries. Hours: 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m., give or take.

What will debut for brunch this week at OTG: McCoppin, though, is Wise Sons Jewish Delicatessen, a multiweek pop-up slated to operate out of Jackie's Vinoteca and Café at 105 Valencia. Evan Bloom and Leo Beckerman indicate they'll be serving up blintzes, house-made bialys, corned beef and eggs, and chocolate babka.
