Grilled Cheese and Craft Beer Pairing

Where: American Grilled Cheese Kitchen, 1 South Park (at Second St.), 243-0107

The rundown: AGCK is commemorating SF Beer Week with a sandwich and brew matchup, but unlike at stuffy wine pairings you won't feel the need to keep your pinkie cocked. The session includes an instructional from American's "commander in cheese," Heidi Gibson, on engineering a champion grilled cheese, along with a sandwich sampling and tasting of craft beers from Firestone Walker Brewing Company guided by brewmaster Matt Brynildson. For those unfamiliar with AGCK, rest assured there'll be more to taste than just bread, butter, and cheese, because you don't win the Grilled Cheese Invitational several times over without a little bit of extra magic.
