Thrillist reports on the appearance of Dash Cafe (420 Judah, heh heh, 661-1237, Facebook page), which serves waffles for lunch and dinner ― most notably in the form of waffle sandwiches. For dessert, waffle bites and waffle sundaes. Incidentally, did you know that Thomas Jefferson was one of the first Americans to own a waffle iron?
According to Vegansaurus, the third Loving Hut opened in the Inner Sunset (524 Irving, at Sixth Ave.). SFoodie does not have much to say about this vegan fast-food chain. We have lots to say about its founder, the only living religious figure who deserves her own drag queen.
Lastly, Thrillist announces that Mammoth Mountain has introduced the world's first snowmobiling taco truck. Er, kind of ― SFoodie isn't really up on ski-resort technology. We're basically impressed by the picture. What's next in the evolution of street food? Perhaps the Army will introduce Afghanistan to the taco tank.
