Brass Knuckle Hits Town, Jollibee Never to Return
![]() |
Grub Street scores a menu from a new food truck named Brass Knuckle (Twitter: @brassknucklesf), which will debut at Off the Grid ― where else? ― starting next month. The pitch: savory waffle sandwiches. Did SFoodie just write that? You know we did.
The Feast gets confirmation from Jollibee, the Philippines-based fast-food chain with a SOMA branch that closed a few weeks ago, that they're not looking for a new S.F. location. Apparently San Francisco didn't appreciate Jollibee enough, and so they're returning the favor. You're going to have to drive to score your next order of chickenjoy.
Lastly, an omission we must rectify: Last week, Grub Street reported that Nan Korean Dining Bar, which closed its last location a few years ago, is opening again soon at 1560 Fillmore. The Yelper Grub Street links to says he most misses Nan's tong dak, or roast chicken. So be sure to look for that.
