The Best Holiday Treats of 2010

Jonathan Kauffman Fruitcake from Schubert's Bakery.
We began this year's SFoodie Advent Calendar on Dec. 1, long before dog-eared rolls of Christmas wrap found their way out of closets, or we'd assembled 2010's official holiday party outfit (thanks, H&M!), or even before we'd committed to our moms that sure, we'd be there on Dec. 25, bearing a side dish and a better attitude than last year. Since then, SFoodie's writers have pried open the tab on a single treat a day with a sense of mounting anticipation. So here, like that stash of holiday treats you've managed ― somehow ― to hide from your spouse or partner, we offer the collected swag of December's daily Advent Calendar reveals. Thanks to Lou Bustamante, Tamara Palmer, Laura Beck, Irvin Lin, and Jonathan Kauffman, who joined me in scouring the city and the East Bay for the season's best. Merry Christmas everybody!
