The past 24 hours in gossip, innuendo, and cold hard facts about the San Francisco restaurant scene.
Grub Street scooped SFoodie in its own neighborhood followed SFoodie in reporting that
Le Truc, which is
un autobus that serves food, is going to be parking at 470 Brannan from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays. (Whoops! Didn't read
that post.)
Eater SF confirmed that
DeLano's IGA Market in the Richmond won't be the only branch to close. DeLano's sores in the Castro (18th St. and Collingwood), Mission (S. Van Ness and 23rd St.), Tiburon, Fairfax, and Mill Valley are also projected to shut down, perhaps within weeks. SFoodie wonders if the Castro will now become more receptive to a Whole Foods or a Trader Joe's?
Eater SF also reported that, starting on Wednesday,
Plum is opening for lunch on weekdays (weekends are coming later).
Inside Scoop's Sunday edition,
reprised on the blog, reported that Tyler Florence's
Rotisserie & Wine (720 Main St., Napa,
www.rotisserieandwine.com) will open Wednesday as well. The pitch: Meat and three, TyFlo and Jeremy Fox style.
In case you missed
yesterday's SFoodie post, the
Rubio's branch in the San Francisco Centre closed. Our copy chief responded by tearing out her hair and smearing ashes on her face all morning.
