Ubuntu Offers Rare Chance to Pinch Its Leaves

​Fact: 80 percent of what ends up on the plate at Michelin-starred Ubuntu is grown in the restaurant's biodynamic garden. Next month, Ubuntu is offering a rare peek at the source, including garden tour and dinner. Tastes of Lion's Run Cab will be poured, then it's off to see Ubuntu's rare varieties of carrots, beans, squash, and other veggies ― the restaurant promises "sensory enjoyment" from the touching and tearing of leaves. A family-style six-course dinner by chefs Aaron London and Carl Swanson will wrap things up. Everything food- and wine-related is included in the $120 price, but you'll need to arrange your own transportation from Ubuntu to the garden tour.
