The past 48 hours in gossip, innuendo, and cold hard facts about the San Francisco restaurant scene.

According to Paolo L. of Inside Scoop, an izakaya to be named Chotto (3317 Steiner) is taking the place of Three Seasons, the Vietnamese restaurant that closed last week. It hopes to open mid-December. The pitch: lots of small plates and grilled skewers, with weekend sushi imported from Japan.

Via Facebook, Ike's Place has a new Stanford location, and is begging SFSU students to lobby their campus administrators to start up a branch there.

Inside Scoop got the memo first: Chez Papa Resto has a new chef -- Steven Rojas, who's moving up from LA from Patina (and also has worked at TRU in Chicago). Rojas replaces David Bazirgan, who's moved to Fifth Floor.

Scoop also finds two new entertainment businesses that will serve food: a bowling alley in the Mission named Brooklyn Bowl, and a comedy club in the AMC Van Ness building called Holly's.
