Boom Boom Room's Ginger and Wasabe (No Typo)

We would normally go somewhere like the Boom Boom Room to hear music, not to be turned on to a new drink we like, but we learned this week that the late blues legend John Lee Hooker's Fillmore institution is a place for both. We were intrigued by the sound of wasabi and ginger ale and prepared for a lively burn, but then learned that it was actually Wasabé, a sake-infused vodka, rather than the Japanese root. Simple, double-potent, and ― right now, at least ― only five bucks.
