This Weekend in Napa, Primal Celebrates the Art of the Hack
A bunch of butchers and chefs will be wielding cleavers against major protein at Primal in Napa this weekend, a repeat of last year's event in the same outdoor location. A bacon taste-off is planned, and expect a slew of oysters and meat-centric nibbles. Adult beverages provided by the Alembic and Magnolia, with wines from several local boutique wineries. The partial chef and meat-cutter lineup includes Ryan Farr, Dave the Butcher, Todd Humphries (Martini House), Duskie Estes (zazu restaurant + farm / bovolo), Peter McNee (Poggio), Mark Pasternak (Devil's Gulch Ranch), Aaron London (Ubuntu), and Matt Kerley (Magnolia Brew Pub). Some of the proceeds benefit a local vocational firefighter training program for youth.
